The restrained use of finely hand-cut satinwood and polychrome harebell marquetry, enclosed within delicate crossbanding and boxwood stringing, exemplifies the refined aesthetic of the finest Sheraton Revival furniture

Raised on a finely turned pedestal terminating in elegant swept tripod supports, the table possesses a lightness and refinement rarely found in later Sheraton Revival examples. The beautifully selected timbers have acquired a rich, mellow colour and deep patina over more than a century, enhancing both the figure of the mahogany and the subtle tones of the satinwood inlay.
