"Tess" Acrylic on Canvas - Ron Damer (British, late 20th/early 21st Cent)

£675.00

Original acrylic on canvas. A charming and highly accomplished portrait by Berkshire artist Ron Damer, depicting "Tess", believed to be the artist's wife and fellow painter.

The sitter is shown seated amongst traditional studio props including an antique ship's lantern, green glass bottles and a pewter vessel, creating a warm, intimate domestic composition. Damer captures both personality and expression with confidence, while the rich blue jacket provides a striking contrast against the warm interior palette.

Executed in acrylic with expressive yet controlled brushwork, the painting combines careful realism in the face and hands with looser, painterly passages throughout the clothing and background, demonstrating an experienced portrait painter's confidence.
