*Please note there is currently another one available in Antique green, sold separately. See photos displaying both together for illustration only.*
A handsome and authentic late 19th-century French café or bistro table, retaining its original circular grey marble top raised on an elegant cast iron pedestal with four swept legs.
Dating from around 1880–1910, this is a classic example of the marble-topped guéridon tables once found in French cafés and brasseries. The substantial cast iron base retains layers of historic green paint with attractive age-related wear and patination, while the original marble top displays beautiful natural veining and the time-softened surface expected from over a century of use.
The underside retains its original timber support and cast iron fixing plates, further supporting its authenticity as a period piece.
Wonderfully versatile, it would work equally well as a breakfast table, garden room or conservatory table, hallway centre table, or as a decorative accent in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Presented in untouched condition with honest wear commensurate with age, giving the table the character and authenticity sought after by collectors and interior designers alike.A genuine antique French bistro table of excellent scale, offering both practicality and timeless decorative appeal.
