A highly decorative late Victorian cast iron jardinière stand, retaining its original circular marble top with attractive cream and warm honey veining. Raised on three elegant cabriole legs with pierced latticework panels, classical portrait medallions and an ornate foliate stretcher, this is a fine example of the decorative castings produced for conservatories, entrance halls and drawing rooms at the turn of the twentieth century. Comparable English examples are typically dated to the late Victorian and Edwardian period.
